How to test your Power Supply Unit (PSU) in your desktop computer

Some power failure issues in our desktop computer caused by Power supply.So how can we find out what really is the problem. where to start troubleshooting.In most cases the power supply is the common problem in the computer. You have to open up your computer and find the component just like the picture above and remove it  from the computer case.Plug the AC cable to the power supply then you have to get a paper clip or wire ,and short the Green wire and the Black wire from the power supply just like the picture below.
Make sure that the connection is good.
If the Fan of the Power supply starts to run. then your power supply is ok..
But if not.its time for you to replace your power supply unit
